The Airbus CC-150 Polaris is a high speed commercial jet which can be converted for use in carrying passengers, freight and for medical purposes. The Polaris is basically an Airbus A310, but it is a military version. Canada received the Polaris between 1992 and 1993. There are plans to convert CC-150s for use as a pure transport and an air to air refueler.
The CC-150 Polaris has a wingspan of 43.9 m, a height of 15.8 m and is 46.66 m long. The Polaris has a top speed of mach 0.79 and can carry a payload up to 14,770 kg including 128 passengers. The powerplants of the CC-150 are two General Electric CF6-80C2A2 jet engines that together produce 48,530 kg of thrust. The Polaris has a range of 11,668 km and a ceiling of 13,667 m. The actual aircraft weighs in at 69,266 kg. The armed forces has a total of 5 CC-150 Polaris' in service. They are all located in Trenton, Ontario
